Vladimir Gaumer

I'm a Game Design graduate from ISART Digital in Paris, and currently working at Spicy Loop.

My interests lie in 3C, combat, and system design, as I love creating features that not only fit but also elevate a game's creative vision.

I am available starting in 2025 for new opportunities !

About me

I'm Vladimir, a Game Designer who graduated in June 2024. Before transitioning into game design, I studied mathematics and computer science at Sorbonne University.

At ISART Digital, I worked on various projects that fueled my passion for game design. My experience includes data analysis at Supercosi and my most recent role as a Game Designer at Spicy Loop. I'm now seeking my next opportunity to contribute to ambitious, large-scale projects.

I'm particularly passionate about 3C design, combat systems, and system balancing.

Outside of game design, I enjoy playing the piano, running, and hiking.

Games that inspire me

One of the best overall experiences I've had in terms of emotions, wonder, discovery, and challenges.

It completely immersed me in a different world and kept me in suspense for the whole playthrough.

Integration of mecha-crafting with the combat system impressed me with its variety, depth, and coherence.

The cinematic quality of each fight further elevated the 3C elements, making them truly stand out.

While many mainstream FPS games focus on realism, Doom Eternal introduced me to a different side of the genre, offering an exhilarating power fantasy experience.

Weapon-fighting mechanics prioritize technique over raw power, creating a balance where skilled and new players find a way to enjoy the game.

One of the most skill-intensive PvP games I've ever played.

The vehicle-crafting system is one of the most impressive features I’ve encountered in games, offering players creative freedom through physics-based puzzles and complementary mechanics.

My favorite tactical RPG, where the narrative design enhances combat scenarios and deepens the battle gameplay loop by fostering intrinsic player motivation.
